So a letter hand delivered 22 nd May requesting consideration as a potential patient on the GPs roll, several phone calls, 3 in person visits to chase up with the receptionist
Total response from GP surgery...
Nothing, other than a snotty receptionist saying that theres nothing she can do and its up to the practise manager (who you cannot speak to)
Been round a few other GPs too no luck
Shambles absolute shambles
What other business wouldnt reply to a potential customer? even if they have no spaces it would be nice to have a reply

Well no one you can go on the runt site and see that the behavior is reflected in their blogging. Name calling, unbalanced argument and infantile behavior is, of course, excepted by the runtletts, but you better not hold a view they don't agree with.
You might recognize this same behavior at the front desk and with the doctor in your local GP surgery.
What is even funnier, or sad really; In 1946 86% of GP's voted not to join the NHS. And yet today runt and others are its biggest defenders! They didn't want to join the NHS in 1946 because it represented change, just in the same way today they resist ANY reforms that would make the service more patient responsive.
Heard a presentation about private GP clinics opening in London staffed by mainly foreign docs who charge £45 a month for unlimited access. Clinics are open 12 hours a day, do basic blood work and minor ops. They can't keep up with demand. This will be the way the NHS changes, it will die a death of a thousand cuts. The ruts et al will die with it, plus a bunch of patients who will be denied 21st century healthcare by a cadre of unreformed simpletons.
Very sad indeed.
